'Meditation'- A Sonnet on meditation

Meditation

A silent moment of reckoning-

of God’s beckoning;

a moment of silence,

and spiritual clearance…

When the heart listens not to its own pounding

but to another call of silence, resounding;

It’s a moment of ‘not being’,

breathing in a sphere of ‘not seeing’…

A moment of soul searching-

after the endless darkness lurking;

when you are not you

and I not I-

Without any trepidation…

That is the moment, of meditation.
